Lenzr Is Decking The Holidays With Two New Contests!

Lenzr Celebrates Christmas

With Christmas right around the corner, Lenzr has launched two new contests that should make your holiday spirits just a little more exciting. Both contests were launched November 1st and should last up until December 20th when the voting officially starts. The winner of each contest will be announced the first day of the new year at 12:01 AM. Be prepared for when you come home from your celebration there could be a possible chance you are the winner!

Here are the details on the contests:

Bathing Belle Designer Swimwear Sponsors Canadian Beaches Photo Contest

When people think of Canada from other places around the world, they normally feel a brush of coldness through there body. Most people from other countries would also think that Canada does not have many beaches, but we all know that is very untrue. Through my summer months I take in many glorious pictures of Canadian Beaches, especially in Muskoka. This next photo contest on Lenzr hopes to inspire photographers to capture the most exquisite water landscape photograph from anywhere in Canada. Have you been to Wasaga Beach this past summer or even P.E.I? Submit your favourite Canadian Beaches photographs for your chance to win THREE designer bathing suits courtesy of  a designer swimwear company located in Toronto. Be sure to add in the name and location when submitting your photographs.

Solarsoft, an ERP Software Developer Sponsors Broken Factories Photo Contest

Most people when looking at unwanted, damaged things tend to never really look at the beauty of it, unlike photographers. Capturing a photograph in most cases is not technically shooting something beautiful, but more or less something you can make beautiful. In this case, Broken Factories, one of the latest photo contests on Lenzr is excited for users to submit pictures of factories they have passed by on their daily journeys. Have you passed by any abandoned factories that are worth capturing? Submit your favourite Broken Factories for your chance to win a Toshiba Netbook courtesy of a ERP software company.

For current and upcoming contests check out the Lenzr blog.

Last Time Of The Year Up In Muskoka

I am very sad to say that this weekend will be the last time I will be going to Muskoka until 2011. Unfortunately, I myself like to hibernate through the cold winter days and traveling to Muskoka is not even close to where I would like to be during the winter. At least I can say that I enjoyed my time at my cottage and I can remember the great memories I  had this year. Fortunately May 2-4 comes faster than most think, which means in no time it will be summer again and I can travel back.

How about you, my fellow readers…do you guys like to hibernate during the winter season or do you suck it up and travel through Muskoka through the god awful snow?

I would love to hear your feedback :)

Muskoka Condos For Sale VS. Toronto Condos For Sale

My grandparents have been looking around for some Muskoka condos for sale simply because they are getting a little older and to take care of their huge property now is a lot of work…even for myself. About a few years back they were searching for Toronto condos for sale because they thought it may be an easier way to get around, but changed their minds last year. They have come to realize that it is way easier to look for Toronto condos rather than Muskoka condos and have run into a bit of a situation.

They were hoping to find something for November 1st, but have had not one luck what so ever. Just curious if anyone that lives around the Muskoka area know of any good real estate agents?

Barrie Events vs. Muskoka Events

This past summer I spent a lot of time up in Muskoka, but really have not found any really good events. When I lived in Barrie their always used to be tons of Barrie events advertising all over the place. Why is it that Muskoka does not advertise as much as other places? I bet if they did they would get a lot more people during the summer holidays.

Toronto SEO vs Muskoka SEO

A lot of my family live in Muskoka and I live in Toronto and my aunt just launched her website two m0nths ago and has not really found that the website has helped with traffic and clients which makes her very disappointed. Now I know a lot about SEO, but I only know about Toronto SEO and I have no clue if there is any Muskoka SEO or at least somewhere close by. I think using an SEO strategy for her site would work. Just curious if anyone knows of any SEO businesses around the Muskoka area.

Lenzr Evolves Into Something Better

For some time now Lenzr has been doing some changes to the website and are proud to introduce a new voting system in September. Instead of being able to vote when the contest starts, members will only be allowed to vote on the 20th day of the contest being live. Although members have to wait to vote on other pictures, contestants are still able to submit their works for viewing. The Lenzr Admin will set a date for when the voting should begin which will most likely be 10 days before the end of the contest.

Eco Deck Builder sponsors People Building Things photo contest

Traveling the streets of any town or city people tend to see many People Building Things, houses, decks, sheds etc. Lenzr thought photographers would enjoy this upcoming contest because building things is a very interesting hobby for most people. Ontario’s deck building company will be proud to reward the winner of this contest an Apple iPad. Are you in the middle of building something and would like to show it off? Start to submit your works to win this wicked prize.

Solar Line sponsors Morning Sunshine photo contest

A lot of early risers not only wake up at six in the morning to have a full day a head of themselves, but to enjoy that morning coffee and especially Morning Sunshine. Seeing how Mother Nature has been oh so kind to Canadians this summer, Lenzr expects to see outstanding photography of the different colours in the sky for this photo contest. Solar Line build portable solar power generators and are happy to give a way an Apple iPad to the winner of this contest. Are you a summer camper that wakes up early just for that morning sunshine? This should be one exciting contest.

All Weather Roofing sponsors View From The Roof photo contest

Like most people especially those who live in the Toronto area – they tend to travel building to building regardless if it is for looking at apartments, going to meetings or visiting family. From all the different Views From The Roof a photographer can get, Lenzr thought this would be a fantastic photo contest. A flat roof installation and repair service company is happy to give a way an iPad for the person that has the highest ranked photograph. Do you live in a penthouse or work in a building on the top story? This is a perfect way to show off your skills from way up high.

SMOjoe sponsors the Conflict photo contest

Conflict can be an every day struggle for most Canadians and sometimes can get pretty frustrating ending in people hating each other. A lot of photographers, like myself love to take in pictures of people in action. Conflict is going to be a interesting photo contest on Lenzr next month and they hope to see some intense photography. A social media marketing company will reward the winner a Blackberry Bold 9700*.

Each contests end October 1st, 2010.

Does a ventrilo server work in Muskoka?

Probably a really stupid question, but I am eager to find out if a ventrilo server will work anywhere around the world…like Muskoka? My dad says he will be moving up to the cottage in Muskoka and that he will be getting internet some we can chat online, but why not just use a server where I can hear is voice?

Muskoka Business…

My aunt has some sort of business that is located in Bracebridge, Muskoka, Ontario and most summer’s get pretty loaded with work, but lately she just wants to have a summer where she can relax and enjoy the beach while not worrying about her job. I told her my situation here in Toronto and how I used a Toronto leadership coach and it worked great. She said well how could it work when I am in Muskoka? Luckily you can have a phone or computer conversation or they can come to you. She is in her third week of coaching and has come to realize she has a lot more time for the outdoors and she can spend some time with friends too.
